Art
1. Do you like art?
Yes, I love all different types of art, ranging from Western to Eastern and from paintings to sculptures. My favorite art genre is impressionism. The only type of art that I don’t understand is modern, contemporary art.

2. Have you ever visited an art gallery?
Yes. Last year I went to the wonderful Metropolitan Museum in New York. It’s not very big given the size of the collection, but lovely. Every time I go to a big city, I like to visit its museums or galleries. I think It’s one of the best ways to spend time with people and have enlightening conversations throughout.

3. Is there any artwork on the wall in your room?
Yes, I have an oil painting hung in my bedroom. It is from my cousin who is currently studying art at the National Art school in Beijing. When we moved to our new house, she sent it to my family as a gift.

 Sample Answer to PART 2 
Well, I’m going to talk about an occasion on which I got to see a group of small monkeys. As we all know, monkeys are one of the funniest animals in nature.

The first time I saw a real monkey was a long time ago. My friends and I traveled to a mountain located somewhere on the outskirts of Chengdu, and when we were climbing the mountain, suddenly a group of small monkeys appeared in the middle of the road. They were jumping up and down from trees before they approached us. Then the monkeys stared at us as though they wanted to communicate and ask for food, so I decided to give them some of our snacks. They were really cute creatures, you know, their hands are like a mini version of ours, which makes them look like little kids. And it’s just so cute seeing how they hold stuff, like how they clutch bananas and things when they’re eating them.

Anyway, the trip was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me as I got to touch and feed wild monkeys. Seeing them first hand also made me realize that they share more common features with humans than I’d previously thought, which really evoked my curiosity about them.

 Sample Answer to PART 3 

1. Do you think it is safe for animals to live in the cities?
I think it’s safe for pets to live in the cities as long as they are properly cared for. But I think cities are not a safe place for many wild animals. Bird window collision is one of the major causes of bird death each year. It happened because the birds can’t recognize the glass. Besides, many wild animals are hit and killed by cars when they unexpectedly cross the road.

2. How do you taking care of animals?
I think that the processes of feeding and looking after animals are good for mental health. I particularly enjoy brushing my dog’s fur, which could make me feel happy and relaxed after a long and stressful day. I also like to bathe my dog and take it to the vet for check-ups.

3. What problems will keep pets bring?
Dogs and cats may cause some hygiene problems including ticks and fleas. If not cleaned promptly, these parasites can cause infections and even affect people’s health. Besides, many
pets shed hair, which takes a lot of time to clean.
