Sample Answer to PART 1
Market
1. Are there many street markets in China?
Yes, especially in rural areas where the population is not dense and large supermarkets are not needed. The street markets provide many vegetables and fruits that people need every day.
2. Do you often go to the supermarket?
Yes. I often go to the supermarket because I cook almost every day. On top of that, I often go to the supermarkets to buy some fruits because fruits in supermarkets are relatively cheap.
3. What are the differences between street markets and supermarkets?
A street market is typically a group of small vendors selling independently. They are sometimes the producers of the goods that they sell or they are retailers for an unusual selection of an item. Each booth or tent is rented from the organizers. A supermarket is a single company that sells multiple items. They are often part of a chain or joint purchasing organization that allows them to purchase food and goods at high volume pricing.
Sample Answer to PART 2
I have a younger sister and I love to spend time with her. She is also fond of me and always loves to be with me. I’m in my twenties and my younger sister is a teen now, and I prefer to spend most of my time with her when I am at home. She loves drawing images of nature and landscapes. Sometimes, I instruct her on drawing images, solving her math problems, complete her homework and many more. She prefers to be with me, as I don’t behave impolitely with her and try to make everything simple to her. She believes that I am the smartest person in the world as I solve almost all of her problems.
Sample Answer to PART 3
1. What are the benefits of younger and older generations living together? How about the drawbacks?
I think living in a home with extended family can have two main advantages. The first is that grandparents get more quality time with grandkids; The second is that more people means more help with household matters. Such as young parents may get family help with child care, cooking, cleaning, maintenance, and other chores. Well, the drawback is that having more people in the home can make it difficult for everyone to have their own space. This can be very stressful for people who value alone time to unwind after work or are used to having plenty of space for hobbies.
2. Which do you prefer, support from family members or friends? Why?
I think friends may be more important than family members, especially as we age. We may be open to our family but in some cases, we can’t share some matters to family members. At that time, we may go for a friend and share the matter. Friends are those to whom we can share anything without fear. Also, I chose friends because they are growing with me while my family has their own lives and they don’t really be involved in my life.
3. Is it important to visit family members? Why?
I believe it’s very important to visit family members. For many people, our family is the only consistent relationship we have throughout our lives. Our family understands our history and therefore understands us best. As such, I think it’s important to maintain those relationships through spending time together.
